1.1. A story 400 years in the making

The show unfolds in five spectacular acts — Life, Wedding, Lights & Sea, Integration, and Ao Dai — guided by a young weaving girl who carries the audience through centuries of Hoi An’s history. Told mainly through music, dance, and strong visuals, the story is easy to follow even without understanding Vietnamese.

  • Act 1: Life
Depicts the early days of settlement with warm lighting, gentle music, and scenes of daily life. The weaving girl appears for the first time, symbolizing memory and heritage.

  • Act 2: Wedding
Recreates a traditional ceremonial wedding with vibrant costumes and powerful choreography, celebrating love, beauty, and culture.

  • Act 3: Lights & Sea
Lantern-lit water scenes, synchronized boats, and ocean-themed dance create one of the most memorable visuals of the entire show.

  • Act 4: Integration
Presents the bustling era when Hoi An became a major international trading port, with market scenes, multicultural dancers, and energetic staging.

  • Act 5: Ao Dai
A poetic finale featuring elegant formations of performers in flowing traditional dresses, honoring the timeless charm of the ancient town.

To support the storytelling in all five acts, the show uses a blend of traditional performing arts and modern techniques. Large-scale choreography, dynamic lighting, water staging, and synchronized effects enhance each scene without overshadowing its cultural authenticity. This combination creates a cinematic outdoor experience that feels both grand and emotionally immersive.

1.2. Cutting-edge stage effects

  • Massive 25,000 m² outdoor stage
  • Water and moving stage elements to recreate river scenes
  • 3D mapping, LED lighting, and synchronized audio
  • Live acrobatics, choreography, and group performances
  • Special effects like lantern releases and smoke to heighten the drama

The result is a 360° immersive experience, making you feel as if you’ve stepped back into Hoi An’s golden era.

2. When and where to see the show

2.1. Show timings & Operating days

  • The Hoi An Memories Show runs every night from 20:00 to 21:00 (except Tuesdays).
  • Gates open from 17:00, giving visitors plenty of time to explore the park, watch mini shows, enjoy cultural photo spots, and settle in before the main performance begins.

2.2. Venue location

  • Main Gate (200 Nguyen Tri Phuong street, Cam Nam) — This is the most convenient and accessible entrance. The walkway is flat, spacious, and fully wheelchair-friendly, making it suitable for families with children, elderly travelers, and guests with mobility needs. From here, the distance to the stage area is also shorter, making it easier and faster to reach your seat.

  • Moon Bridge Entrance (88 Tran Quang Khai street) — This scenic pedestrian bridge offers a charming walk with beautiful night views of the Hoai River, perfect for photography and capturing the magical river scenery at night. However, the path includes stairs up and down, making it less suitable for wheelchairs or strollers. It’s a great choice if you wish to enjoy a picturesque river entrance.

2.3. Transportation options

  • Motorbike or Bicycle
Ideal for nearby visitors. Simply follow Hoang Dieu Street, cross Cam Nam Bridge to reach Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, then turn left at number 200 and cross Memory Bridge to enter the parking lot. Free parking is available for bikes and motorbikes.
  • Private Car, Taxi, or Grab
Cars (4–16 seats), taxis, and Grab vehicles can access the park through the main gate at 200 Nguyen Tri Phuong using the same route above. This entrance is flat, wheelchair-accessible, and leads directly to the parking area inside the island.

  • Tourist Vans (4–16 Seats) & Electric Cars
These vehicles follow the same route and may enter through the main gate to drop off guests right inside the park’s parking area. Clear signage makes navigation straightforward.

  • Large Buses (Over 16 seats)
Due to road restrictions, large buses cannot enter via the main gate. They must drop guests at 88 Tran Quang Khai, where visitors cross the Moonlight Bridge on foot. This bridge has steps up and down, but offers beautiful night views of the river and creates a scenic arrival experience.

3. Choosing the best seats

3.1. ECO seats

A budget-friendly option that still offers a surprisingly clear view of the stage and vibrant atmosphere. These seats are uncovered, so you may get wet if it rains — but they’re perfect if you enjoy being close to the action without spending much.

3.2. High seats (Recommended)

Located centrally and slightly elevated, these seats give you the most comfortable full-stage perspective without having to turn your head left or right. They’re uncovered, but offer the best balance between price, view, and experience.

3.3. VIP seats

The only fully covered seating area, keeping you dry and comfortable even on rainy or chilly nights. It’s ideal for those who want more convenience with sheltered seating, exclusive walkway access, and added amenities like water, cold towels, and fresh fruit.

4. Enjoy culture beyond the main show

4.1. Mini shows and Pre-show entertainment

  • Folk dances, lantern-making displays, and interactive performances

  • Photo opportunities in traditional costumes

  • Start exploring as early as 17:00

4.2. Souvenir shops and cafés

  • Lanterns, silk scarves, pottery, and other local crafts
  • Riverside cafés and snack stalls for pre-show relaxation

4.3. Culinary options

Visitors can enjoy regional favorites like Cao Lau, Mi Quang, chicken rice, and various light snacks inside Hoi An Memories Land, making it easy to sample local flavors before the show. On site, there are several dining venues — including Non La Restaurant (a Vietnamese buffet restaurant built in traditional bamboo style), Ganh Buffet Restaurant in the Vietnamese Village zone (serving local specialties in a rustic, village-style atmosphere), and a more relaxed option at An Bistro for lighter meals and drinks.
